14 Podiums, Three Age Divisions
THE
LONG GAME

Seven titles. Fourteen podiums. Three age divisions.

People hear it as one long peak. It wasn’t. It was three different athletes who happened to share a name and a barbell — and each one had to be abandoned before the next could exist.

The first one started at 38 and learned how to compete. The second had to change how he trained to keep winning while getting older. The third is still here, which is its own separate achievement.

The difference between the three wasn’t fitness. It was the willingness to change the recipe. Most masters athletes try to run the old program into a new body. They don’t need more discipline. They need a new recipe.

Longevity isn’t one season repeated. It’s surviving three different versions of yourself.

Three divisions, three different athletes. The only one who never changed quit.
